Baptism is another ordinance of the Church. Baptism by immersion in water should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures by all who have sincerely repented for their sins and received Jesus as Savior and Lord.
Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. NIV
In Baptism Christians declare to the world that they have died with Jesus and that they have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may life a new life. NIV
In the ordinance of Baptism the new Christian demonstrates in a public way his identification with Jesus Christ, and the change that has occurred in his life.
